ORGANIZATIONAL CORE VALUES

 This workshop which is also a part of the course 'Swedish Work Environment (SWE)'  focuses on the core values of Swedish companies and the Swedish work environment.  


By the end of this day, the participants would be able to recognize the most important corporate values in Sweden. They will also be able to learn about new Swedish social skills and etiquettes used not only in the work environment but also in their daily lives. 


During this day, we cover topics like bragging, handshaking, hugging and other etiquettes that can often be cause of confusion in a new culture. The participants would be able to understand the concept of “Lagom” and “Jante Law”.

LEADERSHIP, MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATIONS

 This workshop which is also a part of the course 'Swedish Work Environment (SWE)'  focuses on leadership, management and communication skills which help newcomers integrate better in a Swedish workplace. 


By the end of this day,  participants will be able to recognize which behaviours and communication styles are harmful and which are appreciated. They will also be able to understand how cultural differences can impact communications and perceptions. Lastly, they will learn new LMC and teamwork skills that will support in coping in a new work culture. 


In this workshop, we cover topics like Flat hierarchy in Sweden, Decision making, Consensus, Team work, Leadership Styles, Meetings and Deadlines etc  

ADAPTATION TO THE SWEDISH WORK ENVIRONMENT

 This workshop which is also a part of the course 'Swedish Work Environment (SWE)'  focuses on local habits, traditions and holidays in Sweden.

 

By the end of this day,  participants will understand the concept of work-life balance and how to implement it in their own lives. They will also recognize local habits and traditions and the importance of engaging in them to better integrate in a Swedish workplace. 


In this workshop, we cover topics like Fika, After-Work, Work-life balance, Midsommar and other local traditions and how it can lead to better integration for newcomers by having knowledge about these traditions and adapting to the local culture. 

 

RIGHTS, OBLIGATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

This workshop which is also a part of the course 'The Swedish Work Environment (SWE)'  focuses on rights, obligations and responsibilities in the workplace. 


By the end of this day, participants will 

understand the importance of trust in Swedish society. They will also recognize how to tackle discrimination, bullying and prejudice. 


In this workshop, we also cover topics like work ethics, unions, benefits etc. 

FIRST DAY AT WORK

This workshop which is also a part of the course 'The Swedish Work Environment (SWE)'  focuses on the first day at work and the importance of preparing an elevator pitch. 


With this workshop, the participant learns how to reduce anxiety in a new workplace and set a lasting positive impression. By the end of this day, the participants will be able to understand how to prepare for their first day at work. 


They will also realize the importance of preparing an elevator pitch and will acknowledge the need of listening, paying attention and asking questions.
